Privacy policy

Short version: this site does not track you, and its public pages set no cookies. The only information we get is what you send us with one of our forms.

What this site collects

Nothing automatically. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no cookies on the public pages of this website. Nothing on here loads from another company, so no third party sees your visit.

You give us information in three places, all optional: the request form (on the contact page and some service pages), the booking page, and the quick estimate. When you use one of them, your details go to our scheduling system and to our email inbox so we can reply, book the visit and quote the job. There is no customer account or password to create. If sending fails, the request form offers to open a draft in your own email app instead, which you can review before sending.

What you send us, if you choose to

Usually that is:

• Your name
• Your phone number and email address
• The address of the property you want work on
• What the yard needs, and any photos you add
• How you heard about us, if you tell us

We ask for the property address because we cannot price yard work without seeing where it is. We do not ask for anything we do not need to quote a job.

A request you send also tells us the page you sent it from, the site that linked you to us if your browser passes that on, and any ad or campaign tag in the link you followed; a booking carries only the tag. None of it is saved in your browser, and none of it leaves the page unless you send the form.

Your own page

Once you have booked, you get a private link to a page showing your visits, estimates and invoices. Before that page shows anything about you, it asks for a 6-digit code that we email to the address we have for you, or text to your phone once we have texting switched on. A code works once, within 10 minutes. If we have no way to send you one, the page asks you to call or text us instead.

Once you enter the code, your phone or computer keeps one cookie from us, so the page opens there without a new code for 30 days. That cookie only shows you have entered the code. It does not track you, and nothing else on this site reads it. We never store the code itself, only a scrambled form of it, which is deleted when the code is used and within a few days if it is not.

You can ask us for a new link at any time. The old link stops working, and so does every phone or computer that was remembered for it.

Reminders and messages

If you have a visit booked, we send a reminder the day before by email and, if you gave us a mobile number and we have texting switched on, by text. Reply STOP to any text and we stop texting you. Newsletters, seasonal notes and review requests go only to people who asked for them, by ticking the box on a form or by telling us, and every one carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect straight away. Reminders about a visit you booked are not marketing and are not affected by unsubscribing from newsletters.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to you, give you an estimate, and carry out work you hire us for. That is all. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. If you want to be certain: we have never sold customer information and do not intend to.

Who else is involved

These companies handle data as part of running this site and our business:

• Amazon Web Services hosts the site, the scheduling system and the email that carries your request to us. Like any web host, its servers record standard technical information such as the IP address making a request, the page requested and the time. We use this only to keep the site working and secure. Photos you upload are deleted automatically after 120 days.
• Google provides our email. Messages you send to us are stored there.
• Intuit QuickBooks is our bookkeeping. When we invoice you, the invoice details, your name and contact details go to QuickBooks so the books balance, and if you pay by card or bank transfer that payment is handled by QuickBooks Payments under Intuit's own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number.
• Twilio carries any text messages between us. It sees the phone numbers and the text of the messages.

No third party collects information about your activity across other websites through this site, because there is nothing on here that does that.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests and job records are kept while we might reasonably need them, for example to honour work we have done or handle a question about a past job. If you would like yours deleted sooner, ask and we will delete it.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Email scheduling@mycreno.com or call (775) 229-3541 and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

Nevada residents have a right to tell a website operator not to sell their personal information. We do not sell it to begin with, but if you want that request recorded, send it to the same email address.

Children

This is a landscaping business. The site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we start doing something different, for example adding analytics, we will update this page and change the date below before doing it.
