About
A local crew that shows up and cleans up
Mason's Yard Care is a Reno landscaping and yard maintenance company. We work across the Truckee Meadows on everything from weekly mowing to front yards built out of bare dirt.
Started with one push mower
Mason Gill is a lifelong Reno resident. Laid off in the early days of Covid, he turned his passion for working outdoors into a business. It started with a single push mower and a simple ad, and grew into Mason's Yard Care.
What we are like to hire
Most people calling a landscaper have been let down by one before. Somebody stopped showing up, or left a pile of clippings at the side of the house, or quoted one number and invoiced another.
So our promises are deliberately boring. You get the price in writing before we start. We come on the day we said. What we cut and pull leaves in our trucks. And if something changes the cost, you hear it from us before the work happens, not afterward on the bill.
We cover Reno, Sparks and the surrounding areas of Washoe County. Just outside that? Call and ask.
Yard care through the seasons
A yard planted for somewhere wetter runs the water bill up and still does not make it through a hard freeze.
Plants that make it to spring
We plant what handles a Reno January, not what looked good in a catalog shot in Oregon.
Sprinklers that get blown out
A system left charged through the first hard freeze splits. We book it in fall so it does not get forgotten.
Snow when it comes
Trucks, a UTV plow and blowers, for one storm or the whole winter.
